Nominee’s three achievements
The achievements below are in addition to building her own national agency – as the top communications agency for startups.
Establishing leading global innovation festival TEDxSydney. As part of the founding team for this event, Fleur supported the growth of the brand and with TEDxSydney recognised by TED as one of the top four TEDx events in the world. Her inspiration for doing this was to help Australian innovators to overcome their cultural cringe and to be recognised on the world stage. TEDxSydney has helped launched the global careers of many innovative Australians.
Establishing Australia’s first free-to-air TV show exclusively focused on entreprenurs. (www.yourmoney.com.au/shows/entrepreneurs). ‘Entrepreneurs’ commenced in March 2018 on Sky Business and then moving to a weekly prime-time slot on free-to-air in October 2018. More than 200 entrepreneurs have been featured on the series and the show has supported the launch of many new startups. Fleur is founder and executive producer. Her motivation for getting this show up was to inspire interest in entrepreneurship at a time when the Federal Government was backing away from the innovation agenda. And also to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to be recognised for their contribution to the Australian economy – building jobs and supporting economic growth. She also wanted Australians to understand how challenging it is to build a business – so there is a more supportive climate for entrepreneurs. The program uses a pioneering model of featuring only entrepreneurs on the show – not journalists. The thinking behind this is that anyone providing insight or advice on the entrepreneurial journey has experienced it themselves and have ‘skin in the game.’ In the second half of 2019, the program will expand into a broader platform with global outreach.
Personal Brand. with the future of work an uncertain landscape for everyday Austalians, Fleur has pioneered the concept of the personal brand and personal PR for everyone. Through her unique work with the http://www.Zambesi.com training business, the launch of her personal brand book for everyday professionals (The Business of Being You), and through coaching hundreds of Australians on PR secrets used by celebrities and CEO’s Fleur has inspired thousands of everyday Australians to control their personal destiny.
