Kim Liddell is an innovative entrepreneur, speaker and mentor. She founded Non Destructive Excavations Australia Pty Ltd, subterranean safety specialists for the building and construction industries, in 2005. She is currently in start-up mode with her new business Slurry Recyclers, a purpose-built construction waste recycling facility for Western Sydney.
Kim has been active in the Civil Construction industry for 15 years. She appointed to the Board of Directors of the Civil Contractors Federation’s NSW branch in 2016 and now holds the Vice President role (the first female to do so). Kim has a passion for empowering women and chairs the CCF NSW Women in Civil program, which she launched with the CCF in 2016. Also, in 2016 Kim was a finalist in the Telstra Businesswomen’s Awards, Recipient of the CCF NSW’s Presidents award, and in 2017 she was inducted into the She Business’ Businesswomen’s Hall of Fame.
Her passion for business led her to the Sydney Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO), where she has been an active member for over eight years. Kim Chairs the EO Accelerator and Executive Program, was Moderator of the Year in 2017/18 and is the incoming Finance Chair.
A true visionary, no challenge seems to be too big for Kim. She has the rare combination of being both creative and strategic, which makes her an influential thought leader in the business world.
The key to Kim’s success is her down-to-earth attitude, her integrity and fearlessness to take the lead, challenge the status quo and find better ways of doing things.
Kim is passionate about her family and has three children under 20 (two of whom are competitive sailors with Olympic aspirations).
She is adventurous and loves to travel. From sailing a tall ship from Greece to America in her early 20s, to living in North America, The Whitsundays to Thursday Island in the Torres Strait; she has travelled and lived in more places than many.
In her spare time, she loves stand-up paddleboarding, yoga, learning new things and spending time with family and friends at her Lake Macquarie home.
She is an enthusiastic meditator and avid promoter of optimal health and wellbeing for a balanced life.
