Mum’s The Word For One Creative Macleod Mumpreneur Determined To Make A Positive Difference In The World As She Is Announced As National Award Finalist

Mum of two, Corina Lorenzi, 47, from Macleod, has been recognised as a Writing Excellence Category finalist in the coveted 2017 Motivating Mum Brilliant Biz Mum Awards.

These prestigious awards are the brainchild of one of Australia’s leading networking groups for mums in business – Motivating Mum. They celebrate and showcase the outstanding hard work, determination and achievements of many mums in business across the country.

After 16 years of steadily climbing the corporate ladder in Foreign Trade, Corina Lorenzi knew that her calling was to help others excel in their areas as well, when she decided, following further studies, to found her own Coaching & Training consultancy, Elite Success Strategies.

“Although a relatively fresh emigrant with no family and only a few friends in Australia, within almost 5 years, I have managed to create a thriving business alongside of raising my 2 beautiful children, now 15 and 12 old.”

Using her natural ability to developed strong relationships with stakeholders from all levels – from factory workers to CEOs, Corina’s success is mostly attributed to her attitude of achieving and performing at the highest standards at all times.

Motivated by the staggering statistics of 75% business failures in their first 4 years of existence, Corina’s mission is to overturn it and to help business owners/managers to create profitable and sustainable organisations for which employees love working.

“It was not always easy to juggle kids and business, but when you are fuelled by passion you find ways to achieve your goals, even if it means late nights or to sacrifice leisure time.”

As Corina’s popularity grew due to the success she has been able to achieve for her clients, she became a sought after Speaker at events, radio shows and podcasts, with her articles published in several magazines.

“Running your own business means you don’t get chance to give yourself a pat on the back very often, so being nominated for these awards and especially in the category of Writing Excellence for my chapter “Five Strategic Steps To A Successful Business“ in the book “Insiders Know-How: Running Your Own Business – Thought Leaders Edition”, means a great deal to me. It has given me the chance to stop and reflect on my achievements over the past 5 years”, enthused Corina.

Outside of work, Corina is passionate about empowering the young generation to succeed by volunteering her skills to fundraisers and to local councils’ initiatives.

The Motivating Mum Brilliant Biz Mum Awards are made up of 13 categories each representing particular areas of business including social media, branding, marketing and more.

What sets these particular awards apart from many others is that they are judged by a panel rather than social media voting. This means all winners are determined based on merit.

Thirteen amazing mums in business will be announced as the best in their field at the Brilliant Biz Mum Awards night which will be held on Saturday 20th May 6 – 9pm in Melbourne. The award ceremony will follow on from a Biz Mum Conference featuring amazing speakers, workshops and networking opportunities.
